      Message From The Owner

      At Mosquito Shield of Covington, our mission is to provide the best mosquito control with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers to enjoy their homes and time with family to the fullest.

      Owners Jesse & Nicole Futrell relocated with their daughter to Covington, LA, around four years ago. They fell in love with the small-town lifestyle, the community, and the natural aesthetics of South Louisiana. However, they noticed one big issue while living in this community: they sometimes dreaded enjoying the outdoors yearly due to the immense mosquito population. As you can imagine, the mosquitoes are completely intolerable ten months out of the year, as the Northshore area is mainly consumed by swamps, rivers, lakes, and low areas that flood quickly during rain periods. As a result, Nicole and Jesse have decided to join forces with Mosquito Shield to help combat the problem.

      Their initial team will consist of both Jesse & Nicole. They have had extensive experience managing personnel, programs, and equipment throughout their careers. Nicole is a director of human resources for a large corporation, and Jesse has overseen many programs in the military as a manager, such as Safety, Operations, and Standardization. They have been together for thirteen years and married nine, and they couldn’t be more different on paper. Nicole is attentive, competitive, caring, and dedicated, whereas Jesse is more tenacious, open-minded, and practical. However, throughout their relationship, they have always shared two significant consistencies: their faith and their perseverance. These two qualities and a few other essential attributes unite them and make their team a competitive force.

      They love everything the Covington area has to offer, from the outdoor activities to the delicious restaurants and more.  In the summer the Futrell family spends a lot of their time enjoying activities on the Tchefuncte River, one of the many tributaries of Lake Pontchartrain. It is a local staple for water activities and a great way to meet new friends and experience the outdoors in Southern Louisiana.  They also love to enjoy a delicious meal at their favorite local restaurant, Tavi. It is a fantastic Jewish restaurant with authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and amazing customer service. Jesse has been deployed to the Middle East multiple times throughout his career, and the food at Tavi is better than anything he has experienced while overseas.
