      At Mosquito Shield of Nassau Long Island, New York, our goal is to provide the best residential mosquito control service in Nassau County, with the highest levels of customer service, allowing our customers to enjoy their yards, homes and time with family to the fullest.

      Our ownership team consists of three owners; Ohavia Feldman, Rivka Leyton and Leon Lantsman.

      Meet the Team:

      Ohavia Feldman

      Having lived in the Long Island area for over 20 years,  we are very familiar with the challenges of this region. A high water table, marshes and bays make this a great place for mosquitoes to thrive. As an entrepreneur for many years, I have always focused on giving customers the best product with the best service, to streamline their experience. We count ourselves lucky, we work with friends and family in the mosquito and tick control service business in Nassau, NY. From our office staff to our technicians in the field we have built a great, fun and productive work environment. In addition to being a proud owner of Mosquito Shield of Nassau Long Island, NY, I spend my free time working for a non-profit helping our local community and spending time with family: father to six, husband to one. We spend our days here working toward perfecting our customer service and ensuring our Nassau Long Island mosquito control customers have the best summer possible.

      Having worked in other areas and industries, I clearly see the benefits of working with a great and positive team. I am a mother of three, and managing our ever growing staff and amazing customers is a constant exciting challenge. Having moved here after I got married 5 years ago, I was happy to live by the water as it reminded me of my home in Italy (if you listen closely you can still hear the accent.) My favorite local spots are The Sunflower Cafe and the beach, because it reminds me of Italy. Having a team like this and having Nassau County mosquito control customers that are in my community that I can not only provide a service that they need is a massive motivator to give the best experience possible to every customer.

      I worked in logistics and finance for many years and love to create systems and protocols that ensure everything works properly. As a team we aim to create a healthy, fun and productive company that gives the same level of service as we all grow. I am a father of five, financial consultant, and an RC car enthusiast. Some of my favorite local spots are Tradition (has the best Deli in maybe the world!), and Prime Bistro is a great steak house that has some really great appetizers and beef jerky. I have lived in this area over 25 years and while many things have changed, some things always stay the same, and one of those things is the mosquitoes.
